Description
Engaged For Ocean (E4O) is an independent international movement founded in France in 2022.
It brings together citizens, companies, scientists and territories around a shared objective: to finance and deploy concrete actions for the preservation and restoration of the Ocean.
E4O is built on a simple conviction: the Ocean concerns everyone, and decisions must be shared.
Commitment is neither reserved for a handful of experts nor confined within closed structures. It is collective, accessible and fully assumed.
The movement relies on horizontal governance.
Joining means taking part in orientations, priorities and decisions regarding the projects that are supported. Each member contributes according to their means and participates in decision-making.
E4O selects and finances high-impact scientific and field projects led by NGOs, researchers and local actors. Actions are monitored over time, assessed on scientific grounds, and reported back to members with full transparency.
Citizens, companies and local authorities find within E4O a clear framework to act, without greenwashing or unnecessary complexity, with real and measurable results.
The movement embraces a professional operating model. A share of its resources is dedicated to governance, coordination, scientific monitoring and transparency. This is the condition for lasting and credible impact.
Engaged For Ocean is not a symbol.
It is a collective tool to decide and to act.
To join is to decide.
To decide is to commit.
