Description

FAR-A-DAY accelerates transport decarbonization by removing the main barrier to electric vehicle adoption: long-distance range. With FAR-A-DAY, electric cars equipped with small batteries become perfectly versatile: lightweight and economical to purchase and use daily, and now capable of handling long journeys. Our solution: a 60 kWh external range extender, inspired by a phone power bank for cars. In just 2 minutes, without even leaving the vehicle, it adds +300 km of range. It is reserved via an app, picked up at the highway entrance, and returned at the exit, all for a cost equivalent to a fast charge. This pioneering technology is patented and has been tested over more than 200,000 km with the involvement of Stellantis and Renault engineering teams. FAR-A-DAY allows a family with a €10,000 used electric vehicle to travel without constraints, while saving up to €1,000 per year on daily commutes. Based on a "battery as a service" rental model, the first stations between Paris and Bordeaux will be installed by late 2026. A subsequent rollout of 30 stations in 2027 will cover 80% of long-distance trips. FAR-A-DAY makes electric mobility affordable, flexible, and socially acceptable, with no impact on public finances. Drive electric, without compromise. Website: https://far-a-day.com/ Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WQn1Ln-MlM
